HC FRIBOURG GOTTÉRON vs GENÈVE SERVETTE HC 1-6
It was the saddest game between Fribourg Gottéron and Genève Servette ever, played in a surreal environment. Finally, the Eagles earned a well-deserved 6-1 road win at the end of a game that they controlled from start to finish.
The Dragons looked unfocused and way too nervous. That was somehow to be expected after their impressive comeback of the last few months that allowed them to make the playoffs. Patrick Emond’s troops for their part were very determined and were also able to score two times at the key moments… that is, during the latest stages of the first period with Timothy Kast and during the latest stages of the central period with Arnaud Jacquemet. During the early stages of the last third then, Genève Servette killed the game as Stéphane Patry extended the lead to 3-goals.
The Dragons in fact, struggled all the time to react and scored their first goal of the night with Samuel Walser only at 7 minutes and a half to the end. A goal that, however, didn’t change the game. That because the Eagles scored again with Stéphane Patry, Sandis Smons and Jordan Caron (first NL goal for the new import) and therefore set the 6-1 final score.
THE GUY ON FIRE
Stéphane is seriously making a name for him self during this final part of the season!
