12.10.2019 – HC Lugano vs HC Fribourg Gottéron 1-4

HC FRIBOURG GOTTÉRON

Fribourg Gottéron are coming off the 3-2 home overtime win earned against Lausanne that followed the 3-1 road defeat suffered against Ambrì-Piotta. The Dragons are in very good shape, they won 8 of their last 10 games and are undefeated at home since 5 games. We mean, what a nice team is the one coached by Christian Dubé, a team that lately has been delivering very convincing, or at least winning, performances.

HC LUGANO

Lugano are coming off the 2-1 road defeat suffered against Rapperswil that extended their winless run to 3-games. The Bianconeri are not in good shape, they lost 9 of their last 10 games and also lost all their last 5 games played on the road. Let us not forget, moreover, that the performances haven’t been good lately. We mean, it’s time to increase the level of play again.

FUN FACT

The last time that a regular season game between Fribourg Gottéron and Lugano went to overtime/shootout goes back to basically 4 years ago, and more precisely the last time dates back to December 4th, 2015. On that day, the Bianconeri earned a 4-3 shootout road win at the BCF Arena. During the 60 minutes of play, Fredrik Pettersson, Tony Martensson and Clarence Kparghai scored for the visitors while Tristan Vauclari, Killian Mottet and Martin Réway scored for the hosts. During shootouts then, Tony Martensson and Tim Stapleton earned the extra point for Lugano that was back then coached by Doug Shedden.
