HC DAVOS vs ZSC LIONS 0-5
The ZSC Lions earned a well-deserved 5-0 road win against Davos thanks to a top notch performance!
Let’s face it, you could expect that – sooner or later – the Ibexes would have experienced a “bad night”. Lately in fact, it’s safe to say that Christian Wohlwend’s troops haven’t been consistent over the arc of the 60 minutes of play of the games and that all the episodes turned in their favour. We mean, in this regard, the defeat against the Lions can be a godsend.
The ZSC Lions for their part, who’d lost 3 of their last 4 previous games, came back in style. The game was pretty much balanced during the first part… but Rikard Grönborg’s guys put more intensity and physical play in the game. Moreover, they were able to take a 2-goals lead thanks to the goals scored by Chris Baltisberger during the first period and by Simon Bodenmann 6 minutes and 49 seconds into the second period.
Until then Davos tried their hardest, but as we said it wasn’t the perfect night for them. The turning point of the game then came shortly before the second break, when Garrett Roe extended the visitors’ lead to 3-goals… and from that moment on, the hosts almost stopped playing.
And so, the Lions handled the situation perfectly in the last third, during which they even scored two more goals – with Fredrik Pettersson and Pius Suter – that set the 5-0 final score.
THE GUY ON FIRE
