SEASON HEAD TO HEAD

EV Zugo vs ZSC Lions 5-4 (OT)

ZSC LIONS

The ZSC Lions are coming off the 3-2 overtime home win earned against Bern that followed the 3-1 defeat suffered against Lugano on the road. Grönborg’s guys, anyway, are on fire… they won 5 of their last 6 games and even 6 of their last 8. Moreover, they’re still undefeated at the Hallenstadion after 6 games. These are exceptional results and not for nothing the Lions are currently at currently second placed in the National League table!

EV ZUG

Zug are coming off the brillant performance delivered last night against Ambrì-Piotta that led to a clear 5-1 win. The Bulls are seriously improving, and not for nothing they won 3 of their last 4 games played… tonight, they will play their 4th game away from home of the season, and so far they won only 1 out of 3.

FUN FACT

When ZSC Lions and Zug face each other during the regular season at the Hallensationd, the goalies quite struggle to earn a shutout. The last goalie capable of earning a shutout during the RS at the Hallenstadion was Lukas Flüeler (ZSC) back on February 1st, 2014. On that occasion the hosts, back then coached by Marc Crawford, earned a 2-0 win thanks to the goals scored by Daniel Schnyder and Roman Wick.
