EHC Biel-Bienne – SC Bern 0-1
Our game summary, the key player, video highlights and game statistics.
Nope, Bienne and Bern haven’t finished gifting us with emotions yet… the Bears earned a 1-0 away win at the Tissot Arena and therefore the second finalist of the 2019 playoffs will be established on Tuesday night in game-7. A game that will definitively not be suitable for the faint of heart!
Game-6 played last night was very intense from start to finish. It’s safe to say that the Seeländers had much more of the puck possession and they they spent most of the game in the offensive zone… but it’s also safe to say that the Bears put their lifeblood into their success, they were able to score during one of their few scoring chances – with Ramon Untersander after 8 minutes and 33 seconds of play – and coud count on a wall version of Leonardo Genoni!
A lot of times statistics don’t say the whole truth. Game-6 statistics instead, in our opinion, can give us a good impression on how the game was. Bienne shot on goal 38 times and missed 15 shots, totale 53… Bern shot on goal 19 times and missed 4 shots, total 23…
Then again, the Seeländers’ shots were not always dangerous. Moreover, the lack of an effective power-play it’s been a source of big regret for Antti Törmänen’s troops. Bern, anyway, have been able to handle the pressure, they’ve been able to counterattack a couple of times and finally, they won the game and earn the right to play at least one more game in front of their fans this seasaon. In the end, this is all that matters.
So, game-7… we can’t wait guys, bring it on!
Leonardo Genoni (SC Bern)
Well, when Leonardo Genoni delivers such performances… he can steal games!
