We will present you, from now until the end of the playoffs, in this semi-serious column, the quotes that in our opinion particularly suit the eight teams who are battling to become Swiss Champions!

This column will be published regularly…

SC BERN vs EHC BIEL-BIENNE 2-3

SC Bern

“Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishment!” – Jim Rohn

Not always, dear Jim Rohn, not always… discipline is a good and valuable thing. At times, however, you need to be able to go outside the box and let the instinct guide you. Right, Bern? The Bears, after they had played two games with emotions, went back being way too disciplined… and we mean, not always discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishment. Especially when it comes to ice hockey…

EHC Biel-Bienne

“The greatest pleasure in life is doing what people say you cannot do!” – Walter Bagehot

Walter Bagehot was born in 1826 and passed away in 1877. He was a British journalist. Well, we think that if he was alive, he would definitively be a fully-fledged “Seeländer”! We think he would have enjoyed a lot game-5 of the semifinal… the one that Bienne, who most people had already written off, went to win on the road in Bern! The greatest pleasure in life is doing what people say you cannot do, after all…

EV ZUG vs LAUSANNE HC 4-1

EV Zug

“Talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence win championships!” – Michael Jordan

Amen to that, Michael Jordan… then again, what should Zug’s opponents think now? We mean, Dan Tangnes’ troops have it all… they’re talented, they’re intelligent for the way they handle the games, and they work as a real Team, with a capital T. We mean, put it like that, it looks like we’ve already found the 2019 Swiss Champions. Right, Zug? Then again, if you’re supersticious, touch wood 🙂

Lausanne HC

“I’m not against showing emotions, but there’s a time and a place!” – Unknown

We do not agree with whoever said it… we think you should always show your emotions because that’s what makes us alive and persons. Then again, everybody is entitled to their opinions. Anyway, also for whoever thinks that there’s a time and a place to show emotions… well, we think that a playoffs’ semifinal is the right time and an ice rink the right place. Right, Lausanne?
