He was born on March 29th, 1991, in Finland. He is a lethal and spectacular forward capable of putting the puck in the net. We’re talking about Toni “on fire” Rajala, a very fast player who can literally drive the opponents nuts.

Toni has been in Bienne since the 2016-17 season and will stay until the end of the 2021-22 campaign at least. Soon enough, he became a fans favourite and this last season he did great things. He played all the 50 regular season games and tallied 46 points, what was enough to finish the season as the team’s Top Scorer.

46 points we said… including 23 goals. Only Pius Suter and Gregory Hofmann scored more than Toni Rajala this season. Let’s watch in this video all the goals scored by the Finnish forward of the Seeländer.

Toni Rajala is on fire, nothing new after all. We wrote this sentence so many times, rightly so. The blond Finn touched 98 goals in 209 National League appearances. That’s a lot for this forward that was drafted back in 2009 by the Edmonton Oilers at the 4th round but that never made it to the NHL.

To say, moreover, that Toni wasn’t really a scoring machine before joining Bienne. Suffice it to say that, before moving to the Seeland, in European leagues, his record of goals scored during a regular season was 17 in 52 games with the jersey of Lulea HF in the Swedish SHL.

Now instead, Toni “on fire” Rajala is a goal scoring machine. He’s a fans favourite and he’s one of that kind of a players capable of getting kids to fall in love with this beautiful sport. Yep, Toni Rajala is pure class and is becoming more and more a symbol of Bienne. Finally, we think it’s safe to say that the 29 years old Finn forward is the perfect image of the growth of the Seeländer… who are closer to the top and are working hard in order to reap the fruits of their hard work, that is to become Swiss Champions. With Toni Rajala on ice, ça va sans dire.

Long live Toni Rajala!
