ZSC LIONS vs EV ZUG 4-1
The ZSC Lions earned a well-deserved 4-1 home win against Zug at the end of a game played in a surreal environment.
Let’s face it, we don’t know what the federation and the clubs will decide on Monday. But this win, potentially, could earn Rikard Grönborg’s troops the title. This is a remote possibility… but still possibility!
Back to last night’s game, Zürich deserved the win in every way. No ifs, no buts. The Lions were by far the better side during the first half-an-hour of the game and were able to take a 4-goals lead thanks to Denis Hollenstein, Simon Bodenmann, Pius Suter and again Denis Hollenstein.
And what about Zug? Zug was not enough focused. Zug lacked of discipline in the defensive zone. Everything could change after the half-an-hour though, when Dario Simion – during a PP opportunity – scored the first goal of the night for the Bulls. But the score didn’t change after that, because the ZSC Lions basically always controlled the game perfectly. Lions that, therefore, finish the regular season at the top of the table. Congrats!
THE GUY ON FIRE
Pius Suter scored another goal… and he’s the league leading scorer at the end of the regular season!
