SCL TIGERS vs EHC BIEL-BIENNE 4-2
Langnau earned a 4-2 home win against Bienne at the end of a game played in a surreal environment and therefore earned 3 very important points in view of the ranking round.
The game was not very spectacular but it was to be expected considering the circumstances. The Tigers, anyway, deserved the win because showed that they wanted it more. Heinz Ehlers’ troops went two times ahead in the score, thanks to Ben Maxwell during the latest stages of the first period and thanks to Alexei Dostoinov during the latest stages of the second period. Bienne for its part, was able to tie things up twice. With Toni Rajala’s PP goal shortly after the half-an-hour mark and with Damien Brunner’s goal scored during the early stages of the last third.
As said, however, Langnau wanted this win more. And this will allowed the hosts to set the 4-2 final score during the last 10 minutes of the game thanks to Eero Elo who scored twice!
It wasn’t a great hockey night. In fact, this is not hockey. Hockey is for fans. Despite everything though, the Tigers earned a very important win.
THE GUY ON FIRE
Eero Elo is back… it’s as simple as that!
