SCL TIGERS vs ZSC LIONS 0-3
The ZSC Lions earned a well-deserved 3-0 road win against Langnau thanks to an overall solid performance and at the end of a game that was quite boring and about which there is not so much to write about.
The Tigers didn’t underperform in our opinion, let’s face it. But we think it’s safe to say that the Lions did everything better, they made less mistakes and – most and above all – they were able to put the puck in the net when necessary. Just like between the 12th and the 16th minute of play, when Raphael Prassl and Chris Baltisberger scored the first two goals of the night.
Langnau then tried to react but was way too undisciplined and only occasionally was able to put Zürich under pressure. All the more so because Rikard Grönborg’s troops always controlled the game even though they weren’t outstanding. A game that then they killed during the early stages of the last third, when Garrett Roe set the 3-0 final score. And this fact allowed them to save some energies in view of the game of this Sunday against Bienne.
We mean, to sum up, it wasn’t a great game. But a game that the ZSC Lions totally deserved to win without pushing themselved to the limit.
THE GUY ON FIRE
Lukas Flüeler was back between the pipes and earned a shutout. What possibly more could you ask to your goalie?
