EV ZUG vs LAUSANNE HC 3-0
Zug earned a well-deserved 3-0 home win against Lausanne and therefore remain now more than ever at the top of the National League table!
Let’s face it though, the game between Bulls and Lions Vaudois wasn’t particularly eventful or exciting. Moreover, don’t be fooled by the fact that the hosts sealed the 3 points only during the last 10 minutes of play… because, despite the fact that they seemed like playing with the handbreak, we never really had the feeling that they could lose this game. This also because, it must be said, the visitors delivered an almost emotionless performance.
Dan Tangnes’ troops scored the first goal of the night after 8 minutes and 16 seconds of play with Sven Leuenberger. And then, after a goalless central period, they set the 3-0 final score with Gregory Hofmann and Jérôme Bachofner during the last 8 minutes and 48 seconds of the game.
In between? In between the game was sort of boring. Zug were also a bit distracted in the defensive zone and this fact allowed Lausanne, despite everything, to create several clear scoring chances but Leonardo Genoni was at the top of his game. Overall though, as said, the Bulls totally deserved the win and the umpteenth 3 points of this season.
THE GUY ON FIRE
We really liked what Andreas Martinsen brought in. He played a gritty and physical game. He looks like that kind of a player Zug missed to help Johan Morant to play a more physical game. And we all know that physical game it’s a key during the post-season.
