22.10.19 – Lausanne HC vs EV Zug 2-1

17.12.19 – Lausanne HC vs EV Zug 0-3

Zug and Lausanne face each other for the fourth time of the season. The Lions Vaudois won the first two head to head while the Bulls won the last one at the Vaudoise Arena.

Let’s see the two teams’ form.

The last game

EV Zug vs SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers 4-1

Zug are coming off the 4-1 home win earned against Rapperswil that extended to 3-games their winning run.  The Bulls won 4 of their last 5 games and, even though they have room for improvementt, they’re currently at the top of the NL table and are the best team around. Also their recent home record (7 win in the last 9 played at the Bossard Arena) is good.

Last game

Lausanne HC vs HC Fribourg Gottéron 4-6

Lausanne are coming off the 6-4 home defeat suffered against Fribourg Gottéron that put their 3-games winning run to an end. The Lions Vaudois alternate very good performances to almost irritating ones… but when they have a good day, they can win against anyone and are really dominant. On the road, they won their last two games played in Langnau and Genève… and on the road, they don’t concede goals since more than 120 minutes.

The last time that a game between Zug and Lausanne played in Zug required OT/SO to establish the winners dates back to September 12th, 2017. On that occasion, the Bulls earned a 5-4 overtime win thanks to the goals scored by Lino Martschini, Dominic Lammer, Sven Senteler, Robin Grossmann and Garrett Roe. The Lions Vaudois scorers were Joël Genazzi, Nicklas Danielsson, Jonas Junland and Sven Ryser.
