EV Zug vs SCL Tigers 5-2
Zug earned a 5-2 home win against Langnau at the end of an eventful and even enjoyable game!
A game that seemed to be over after only 13 minutes and 51 seconds of play… that was the time it took to Jan Kovar, Dario Simion and Raphael Diaz to put the Bulls 3-0 ahead in the score. As we all know, however, you just can’t write the Tigers off. Ever. And it was like this also this time.
During the central period in fact, Heinz Ehlers’ troops made it a brand new game thank to the two power-play goals scored by Anthony Huguenin and Raphael Kuonen. Then, however, it came the key moment of the game.
The momentum seemed to be on the visitors’ side, but shortly before the second break Gregory Hofmann put Zug 4-2 ahead and basically sealed the three points.
Right, because Langnau tried their hardest to come back during the last third. But in vain. Even more so because, at 11 minutes to the end, Lino Martschini scored the power-play goal that set the 5-2 final score. That was a right reward for a performance – the one of Zug – that was brillant especially in terms of offensive play.
THE GUY ON FIRE
Regardless of his performance, which was pure energy as usual, Gregory Hofmann scored the crucial goal at the key moment of the game.
