SCL Tigers vs HC Lugano 3-2
Langnau earned a 3-2 home win against Lugano and therefore against the Bianconeri for the third time this season!
Heinz Ehlers’ troops won the game thanks to the ecxellent performance delivered in the first period, during which they outplayed Lugano and took a 2-goals lead thanks to Harri Pesonen and Sebastian Schilit in a matter of 16 minutes and 53 seconds of play. But then, most and above all, they won the game because they put more emotions into it… without forgetting that they proved rock solid in the defensive zone when Lugano put them under pressure.
Right because the Bianconeri, even though weren’t at the top of their game, especially starting from the second goal of the night scored by Schilt, showed to have some real character. Firstly, always during the first period of play, they made it a brand new game thanks to the deflection of Dominic Lammer… but then, mostly, during the remaining 2 periods of play were able to create themselves several good scoring chances. Like the one that, shortly before the second break, led to the tying goal scored by Benoit Jecker.
Then, always the Bianconeri, hit several times the posts. Some of them were bad luck while some of them weren’t bad luck… Right, because we can’t call “bad luck” the post hit during the latest stages of the game when they could play for long time with a double-men advantage. That was the glorious chance to tie things up shortly after that Ben Maxwell scored the goal – during a power-play opportunity! – that earned a deserved win for Langnau!
THE GUY ON FIRE
Harri Pesonen or Chris DiDomenico… it’s the same, they’re both impressive leaders on the ice!
