Lausanne HC vs SC Bern 2-5
Bern earned a 5-2 road win against Lausanne and therefore earned two consecutive “3 points” win for the first time since mid-September!
It was clear from the beginning that maybe things are changing for the Bears. Let’s take the first period for example. We think it’s safe to say that Lausanne were the better side during the first 20 minutes of play, and not for nothing they even scored the first goal of the night almost immediately with Yannick Herren. Contrary to other times, however, Bern didn’t panic. And actually were able to score the tying goal with Mark Arcobello only few minutes after that the Lions Vaudois had taken the lead.
Starting from the central period then, the game was perhaps not very spectacular but balanced. However, no one was able to put the puck in the net until the early stages of the third period, when Mark Arcobello put the Bears ahead.
Almost immediately though, Ronalds Kenins scored the tying goal for Lausanne. But it was again at that moment that it looked like maybe things are changing for the Bears. Right, because this time – always contrary to other times – Kari Jalonen’s troops didn’t panic… and actually, they scored three goals with Vincentr Praplan, Gregory Sciaroni and Calle Andersson (empty-netter) in the last 8 minutes of play that set the 5-2 final score!
THE GUY ON FIRE
Unbelievable… it’s the only adjective that comes to our mind when it comes to Mark Arcobello!
