SC RAPPERSWIL-JONA LAKERS vs HC LUGANO 2-1
Rapperswil earned yet another come back win. In this case, the Lakers earned a 2-1 home win against Lugano.
We think there are three things to say about this game. The first one: the game was intense but, mostly, a low-level one. Even boring. The second one: despite everything, both teams could ave won this one. The third one: Rappi deserved the win, it’s as simple as that.
Anyway, the first period was – allow us to say it – a snooze-festival. The things revived in the second period, during which both teams had their chances and during which both goalies delivered a good performance. Shotly after the half-an-hour mark, however, Lugano took the lead thanks to Thomas Wellinger who scored his first goal of the season.
That could have been a blow for Rappi. But as we all know, Jeff Tomlinson’s guys are never dead this season. And so, after the second break, the hosts increased their level of play and were rewarded for that after 9 minutes and 5 seconds, when Dominik Egli scored the tying goal during a power-play situation.
From that moment on, the game became a one-sided affair. The Lakers were on fire and at 7 minutes to the end scored the game winning goal with Jan Mosimann. Deservedly so.

All these comeback win aren’t an accident… we talked about that last week, after all.
