EHC BIENNE vs SC RAPPERSWIL-JONA LAKERS 3-2
Bienne won 3-2 against Rapperswil and therefore earned 6 points this wekk!
The first period of the game played at the Tissot Arena was overall balanced in terms of shots on goal. Bienne were the better side at the beginning though, and between the 10th and the 15th minute of play they went 2-0 ahead thanks to the goals scored by Damien Brunner and David Ullström. Moreover, it’s safe to say that only Nyffeler’s great performance prevented the hosts from scoring more goals…
Rappi, however, as we all know are sometimes down but almost never out. And so, during the latest stages of the first period stepped up and scored two goals – with Rehak Frantisek and Andrew Rowe – that tied things up alredy before the first break!
It could have been a huge blow for Bienne. And instead, Antti Törmänen’s guys came back after the break with every intention of restoring their lead. And finally, their perseverance paid off shortly before the second break… when Damien Brunner scored the goal that, to sum up, turned out to be the game winning goal!
During the third period in fact, the Lakers tried their hardest to get back in the game. But Bienne proved solid and highly organized… and therefore, the score didn’t change until the end. All in all, we think it was an enjoyable and even eventful hockey game. Rappi’s performance was quite good, but the Seeländers made the difference thanks to their talent.
THE GUY ON FIRE
First game of the season after his injury. He scored twice. What else?! Damien is back!
