SC RAPPERSWIL-JONA LAKERS
Rapperswil could rest last night and they’re coming off the 5-4 overtime home defeat suffered against Davos on Tuesday night that extended their winless run to 3-games. Rappi lost 7 of their last 8 games played… but don’t be fooled by the results, because Jeff Tomlinson’s guys are a tough nut to crack. Especially at home, where they won 7 of their 12 games this season.
Lugano are coming off the 5-3 home defeat suffered against Zug last night that followed the 3-2 road defeat suffered against Ambrì-Piotta. Sami Kapanen’s troops lost 8 of their last 9 games (they won only against Rapperswil) and even lost all their last 4 games played on the road. In fact, they earned their last road win back on mid-October in Bern. We mean, there is no denying that the Bianconeri are out of shape and must find a way to earn wins in order to build self-confidence.
It’s good omen for Lugano to play in Rapperswil on the day November 30th. It happened also back in 2013 and on that occasion the Bianconeri earned a 6-3 road win thanks to the goals scored by Brady Murray, Glen Metropolit, Diego Kostner, Stefan Ulmer, Jacob Micflikier and Steve Hirschi. The hosts’ scorers were Derrick Walser, Niklas Persson and Mauro Jörg.
