Davos are coming off the 5-4 overtime road win earned last night against Rapperswil that followed the 3-2 home win earned against Lugano. Wohlwend’s troops won 9 of their last 10 games and are in great shape. Perhaps their latest performancea haven’t always been top notch, just like last night in Rapperswil. But their hockey is catchy and currently the Ibexes are the best team of the league in terms of points on average per game. Deservedly so.
Ambrì-Piotta earned a 3-2 home win against Lugano last night and therefore put their 3-games losing streak to an end. If the boys of Cereda – who won only 3 of their last 9 games – plays like last night when it comes to emotions and energy… they can win everywhere. Also in Davos today, of course.
It’s very good omen for Ambrì-Piotta to travel to Davos on the day November 24th… it happened also in 2017 and that day the Leventinesi earned an impressive 7-2 road win thanks to the goals scored by Lukas Lhotak, Elias Bianchi, Marco Müller, Dominik Kubalik (doppietta), Patrick Incir and Matt D’Agostini. For the Ibexes instead, the scorers were Enzo Corvi and Fabian Heldner.
