Davos are coming off the 3-2 home defeat suffered against Genève Servette – first home defeat of the season – that put their 7-games winning run to an end. The Ibexes are obviously in great shape, even though lately they’ve been lacking of consistency in terms of performance over-the-arc of the 60 minutes of play. They’ve been almost always able, however, to make the difference at the key moments of the game and that’s because they’re very self-confident at the moment.
Lugano are coming off the 2-1 home defeat suffered against Langnau that extended their winless run to 5-games. There is no denying that the bianconeri’s performance aren’t top notch at the moment, and there is also no denying that if they don’t deliver good performances they darn struggle to win. In other words, they’re currently unable to win games unless they’re at the top of their game. And that’s a problem.
It’s good omen for Davos to host Lugano on November 19th. It happened also in 2010 and on that occasion they earned a 4-0 home win thanks to the goals scored by Petr Sykora, Reto Von Arx and Gregory Sciaroni (2). Leonardo Genoni therefore earned a shutout against the bianconeri that back then were coached by Philippe Bozon.
