Lugano are coming off the poor performance and clear 7-2 away defeat suffered in Zürich that extended their losing streak to 4-games. There is no denying that the Bianconeri – 3 wins in the last 9 games – aren’t brillant like they were during the first few weeks of the regular season. And there is also no denying that they should improve their home record, considering that they won only 4 of their 10 games played at the Cornèr Arena. Will be the “Ladies Night” the good occasion to reverse the negative trend? We’ll have the answer at about 10pm…
Langnau are coming off the 3-1 home win earned against Bern last night that extended their winning run to 4-games! The Tigers are are back, it’s as simple as that. After a negative period, they started to be rock solid again (4 goals overall conceded in the last 4 games), they are back being disciplined, organized and hungry. To note, moreover, that they won only 2 of their last 5 away games… but they earned at least 1 point in 4 of their last 5 away games.
It’s been almost two years since the last time Lugano won against Langnau at home… the last time dates back to December 3rd, 2017, when the guys back then coached by Greg Ireland won 4-2 thanks to the goals scored by Julian Walker and Luca Fazzini (hat-trick!). The Tigers’ goals were scored by Yannick Blaser and Andreas Thuresson.
