Davos are coming off the 5-4 road win earned last night in Zug that extended their winning run to 7-games! We mean, the Ibexes never cease to amaze and are able to win games in every possible way. Tonight, they’re back at the Vaillant Arena, where they’re still undefeated this season after 3 games. We mean, it’s hard to imagine that this team was a playout finalist only few months ago.
GENÈVE SERVETTE HC
Genève Servette are coming off the 2-1 road overtime defeat suffered in Fribourg on tuesday night that followed the 4-0 home win earned against Lugano before the international break. Overall, the Eagles won only 4 of their last 13 games… but don’t be fooled by the poor results, because Patrick Emond’s guys are generally a tough nut to crack. They must improve, however, their away record. Suffice it to say that Servette lost all their last 6 away games and that their last road win dates back to Sptember 27th, when they won 2-1 in Lugano.
It’s the longest trip for Genève Servette… and yet, the Eagles feel always quite comfortable when it comes to play against Davos at the Vaillant Arena. In fact, they won 7 of the last 8 away games against Davos. The Ibexes only home win against Genève Servette in recent years dates back to September 12th, 2017, when they won 4-1 thanks to the goals scored by Enzo Corvi, Samuel Walser, Magnus Nygren and Robert Kousal. The visitors’ consolation goal was scored by Cody Almond.
