HC Ambrì-Piotta vs HC Fribourg Gottéron 4-0

HC FRIBOURG GOTTÉRON

Fribourg Gottéron are coming off the 2-1 overtime home win earned against Genève Servette that extended to 4-games their winning run. We mean, to make the story short, currently the Dragons are no longer the “sacrifical lamb” that last October 4th suffered a 4-0 defeat in Ambrì, a defeat that did cost Mark French the job. The troops now coached by Christian Dubé are rock solid (1.3 goals conceded on average in the last 6 games). They should improve their scoring record, but things look good.

HC AMBRÌ-PIOTTA

Ambrì-Piotta are coming off the 3-2 home defeat suffered against the ZSC Lions that followed the two narrow away wins earned in Bienne and in Lugano. The Biancoblù, that from tonight they can count also on their new import Scottie Upshall, were in excellent shape before the break, and in particular their performances were top notch in terms of intensity and ability to make the difference at the key moments of the games. We mean, surely they have every intention of keeping up the good work.

FUN FACT

It’s definitively good omen for Fribourg Gottéron to face Ambrì-Piotta on the day November 15th… it happened also in 2009 and on that occasion the Dragons earned a 5-1 win on the road at the Valascia thanks to the goals scored by Julien Sprunger, Michael Knoepfli, Sandy Jeannin, Serge Aubin and Adam Hasani. The Biancoblù’s consolation goal was scored by Daniele Mattioli.
