HC AMBRÌ-PIOTTA vs HC DAVOS 2-3
Davos earned a 3-2 win against Ambrì-Piotta on the road and therefore confirm to be on fire!
If we talk about the game between Leventinesi and Ibexes… it would be pointless to go in order to describe it. In fact, we think it’s safe to say that – overall – Luca Cereda’s guys were much more offensive minded and capable of creating many clear scoring chances. As it is often the case this season, however, they lacked of determination in front of goal.
It’s also fair to say though, that Davos delivered a very smart performance. Christian Wohlwend’s troops played back-to-back games for the first time this season… and handled the situation perfectly. Let’s face it, Davos played better games this season. Yet, it bodes very well for the future when you can win also when your performance is not top notch.
Even more so if you can count on import players able to make the difference. Just like Mattias Tedenby, who scored the first goal of the night after 4 minutes and 48 seconds of play… and just like Otso Rantakari and Perttu Lindgren, who scored two more goals for the visitors during the latest stages of the central period. Two goals that, in fact, turned out to be decisive.
Ambrì-Piotta for their part were able to score the tying goal with Fabio Hofer 5 minutes into the second period. And, finally, they were also able to score – always with Fabio Hofer – another goal that made it a brand new game at 7 minutes to the end.
At that point the score was 2-3… but then didn’t change, and so Davos could celebrate yet another win!
THE GUY ON FIRE
He’d scored on Friday night… he didn’t score at the Valascia. Yet, it’s clear that the goal scored 24 hours earlier against Davos was a confidence booster for him. What a performance for Marc Aeschlimann!
