HC FRIBOURG GOTTÉRON vs SCL TIGERS 0-1
Langnau earned a 1-0 win against Fribourg Gottéron on the road and so put their 4-games losing streak to an end.
Frankly speaking, it was a boring hockey game. We expected Fribourg Gottéron to be on fire… and instead, the guys coached by Christian Dubé looked not enough determined. In the image of the first minutes of the game, during which they had a power-play opportunity and conceded Langnau two glorious scoring chances.
We expected Langnau to be solid… we mean, we expected the Tigers to play a very tactical game in order to take as little risk as possible in order to get back to winning ways. In this regard, Heinz Ehlers’ troops did their job.
Overall though, we doubt that the fans had fun at the BCF Arena. The hosts shot much more compared to the visitors… but their shots were mostly inaccurate. The visitors for their part, tried their hardest not to concede goals and finally succeded. We mean, it was one of that kind of a game during which only a touch of magic of a top class player could make the difference. Someone like Harri Pesonen… who scored the game winning goal for Langnau at 6 minutes to the end!
Fribourg Gottéron then obviously tried everything to get back in the game… but failed. And all in all, we think that Langnau deserved the win.
THE GUY ON FIRE
Once again Harri Pesonen played a key role… nothing new, right? What a player!
