GENÈVE SERVETTE HC vs SCL TIGERS 6-3
Genève Servette earned a 6-3 home win against Langnau and therefore put their 4-games losing streak to an end!
Patrick Emond’s guys clearly deserved the victory, as they were pure joy to watch especially during the first period… in a matter of 4 minutes and 48 seconds they took a 2-goals lead with Simon LeCoultre (PP goal) and Marco Maurer. Then, after the (fantastic) goal scored by Raphael Kuonen that temporary reduced their lead, Noah Rod and Deniss Smirnovs (again a PP goal) brought the hosts 4-1 ahead in the score already before the first break!
At that point the game seemed over. During the central period Langnau – who played very tough at times – tried their hardest to make it a brand new game… but the Eagles handles the situation quite well all in all, and then in a matter of 12 minutes into the third period went 6-1 ahead thanks to Arnaud Jacquemet (again a PP goal!) and Tim Bozon.
Finally though, it came the only fly in the ointment of Genève Servette’s performance… when the game was over in fact, during the last two minutes of play, the hosts let their guard down and Langnau took advantage of that to score two goals with Julian Schmutz and Raphael Kuonen. At that point, however, it was just to late and therefore Servette earned the 6-3 well-deserved win.
THE GUY ON FIRE
Game after game, Simon LeCoultre plays more and more a key role for Genève Servette. Last night against Langnau he delivered yet another brillant performance enriched with 2 points (1 goal).
