HEAD TO HEAD STATS

HC FRIBOURG GOTTÉRON

Fribourg Gottéron are coming off the 4-0 defeat suffered against Ambrì-Piotta on the road that cost Mark French the job… and that was the fith defeat in the first six games of the season. There is no denying that the Dragons, despite the good will, were just too ugly to be true. Tonight they will be coached by Pavel Rosa & Christian Dubé and we expect a fierce reaction. And perhaps also the first “3 points” win of the season.

SC RAPPERSWIL-JONA LAKERS

Rapperswil are coming off the 2-0 home win earned against Genève Servette last night that put to an end to their shorty 2-games losing streak. Rappi, who won 5 of their last 7 games, proved also last night to be a very tough nut to crack. Perhaps Jeff Tomlinson’s troops depend too much on their imports when it comes to scoring goals… but they’re rock solid and can count on a goalie who is literally on fire and who earned already 3 shutouts this season!

FUN FACT

When Fribourg Gottéron and Rapperswil face each other on the shores of the Sarine, it’s quite rare that a goalie earns a shutout. The last goalie capable of earning a shutout in Fribourg was Daniel Manzato on October 2nd, 2009. On that day Rappi were coached by Raimo Summanen and earned a 4-0 win thanks to the goals scored by Florian Blatter, Loïc Burkhalter, Sandro Tschuor and Michel Riesen.
