SC Bern – EV Zug 1-4
Our game summary, the key player, video highlights and game statistics.
Zug earned a 4-1 away win in Bern and therefore took the lead in the final series! And what a final… game-1 gifted the fans with so many emotions!
Initially the game was quite balanced. Zug brought in a lot of emotions and played some tough physical hockey… Bern for their part stood up very well, and took the lead thanks to Jan Mursak after 11 minutes and 58 seconds during the first power-play opportunity for the Bears!
Then, however, starting from the central period everything changes. The Bulls increased their level of play and delivered a divine performance! It was therefore not an accident that, right during the central period, Dan Tangnes’ troops turned the score around and went 2-1 ahead with Brian Flynn and Yannick-Lennart Albrecht!
It’s safe to say that Zug were the best team on ice in every way at that point, and this allowed them to take a 2-goals lead thanks to Garrett Roe’s power-play goal scored 6 minutes and 54 seconds into the third period… and at that point, finally Bern brought in some emotions. Negative emotions though… in the image of the awful charge of Adam Alqvist on Reto Suri.
The Bulls, however, didn’t fell into the trap. They proved smart, focused and calm… moreover, they set the 4-1 final score thanks to Dennis Everberg empty-netter in the 58th minute of play!
Yannick-Lennart Albrecht (EV Zug)
Yannick-Lennart Albrecht scored his third goal of the playoffs… the most important one!
