EV Zug – Lausanne HC 5-2
Our game summary, the key player, video highlights and game statistics.
Zug delivered yet another great team performance… the Bulls earned a 5-2 win against Lausanne and are therefore in the final! And it was even too easy…
First of all, we’d like to stress that the game was quite boring. On the one hand, because Dan Tangnes’ troops were too strong… on the other one instead, because once again Lausanne played an almost emotionless hockey.
The matter of the fact is that it took only 11 minutes and 13 seconds to Zug to take a 2-goals lead thanks to Sven Senteler and Sven Leuenberger. And it could have been even a 3-goals lead, but Everberg missed a shootouts during the early stages of the game. Anyway, by the first break it became clear that there was no deal to make for the Lions Vaudois.
During the early stages of the second period then, Reto Suri and again Sven Senteler, gave the Bulls a 4-goals lead and basically sealed the win!
No one really cared that, at about the half-an-hour mark, Lausanne shortened distances with Ronalds Kenins during a power-play situation. And no one even really cared that, just few minutes away from the end, Joël Genazzi scored a second goal for the visiting side. Even more so because, during the latest stages of the game, Reto Suri set the 5-2 final score!
Sven Leuenberger (EV Zug)
Sven Leuenberger is having some terrific playoffs… and he even scored his first goal of the semifinal series!
