Lausanne HC – SCL Tigers 5-2
Our game summary, the key player, video highlights and game statistics.
Lausanne earned a second consecutive win against Langnau but this time they had to fight hard… this, however, makes the victory even more important!
The Tigers in fact, reacted vehemently after the defeat suffered in game-2. They got off to a brillant start of the game at the Malley 2.0 and took the lead with Federico Lardi after 6 minutes and 20 seconds of play. Lausanne showed some real character though… and took advantage of the first power-play opportunity of the night to equalize with Dustin Jeffrey. Thereafter, Langnau restored their lead with Eero Elo, who also scored during a power-play situation… but the power-play party wasn’t over. The Lions Vaudois once again showed some real character and equalized again during a power-play situation with Joël Vermin!
Starting from the central period then, the game was quite balanced overall. At times Langnau were able to put Lausanne under pressure… and viceversa. Ville Peltonen’s troops, however, proved more resourceful and even more talented. It was therefore not an accident that Cory Emmerton put Lausanne ahead in the 26th minute of play during a (ça va sans dire…) power-play situation. And it was also therefore not an accident that during the last 12 minutes of play, Joël Vermin and Christoph Bertschy set the 5-2 final score!
Christoph Bertschy (Lausanne HC)
What… a… performance… the one of Christoph Bertschy!
