EV Zug – ZSC Lions 3-0
Our game summary, the key player, video highlights and game statistics.
Zug earned a 3-0 home win against the ZSC Lions and therefore won for the first time this season against Zürich!
It wasn’t a walk in the park for Dan Tangnes though… Zürich in fact delivered a good performance. They had enough scoring opportunities and seriously gave themselves a chance to win this one. Zug, however, were impressive during power-play opportunities and could count on an excellent Sandro Aeschlimann. And let us not forget that their import players made the difference.
Moreover, as it is often the case, when the Bulls increase their level of play the opponents darn struggle to keep it up. And so it was also in this case… between the 24th and the 32nd minute of play in fact, firstly Dennis Everberg scored the first goal of the night and then Brian Flynn scored power-play his first goal in Switzerland. A kind of a casual one…
During the early stages of the third period then, again during a power-play situation, Brian Flynn again (this time thanks to a fantastic deflection) put Zug 3-0 ahead and sealed the three points.
All in all, it was a good game for both teams. Two teams that could very well face each other also during the playoffs, just like last season.
Brian Flynn (EV Zug)
Brian Flynn broke the ice… and now Zug have an extra gun!
