HC Davos – Lausanne HC 1-3
Our game summary, the key player, video highlights and game statistics.
Lausanne earned a 3-1 away win in Davos and therefore extended their winning run to 4-games!
Frankly speaking, the game played at the Vaillant Arena was quite boring… Davos took the lead after 7 minutes and 48 seconds thanks to Anton Rödin’s power-play goal but it was only a flash in the pan for the hosts. Right, because Lausanne – even though the performance was not top notch – equalized already during the first period, and more precisely in the 15th minute of play, thanks to Ronalds Kenins.
They say that it’s good sign when you win games even though your performance is not brillant… and then Lausanne can be seriously satisfied. The Lions Vaudois were able to handle well the situation as the game went on and moreover were able to score at the key moments of the game. Just like shortly after the half-an-hour mark, when Petteri Lindbohm put the visiting side ahead. And just like in the 57th minute of play, when Christoph Bertschy set the 1-3 final score!
We mean, mission accomplished for the Vaudois. They earned a win that is’s literally godsend in this game that looked an easy one – on paper – but could become a very dangerous double-edged sword.
Sandro Zurkirchen (Lausanne HC)
The players were able to score at the right times. The goalie, Sandro Zurkirchen, made the right saves at the right time!
