Neuchâtel Xamax FCS – BSC Young Boys 1-4

Our match report, the key player, video highlights and match statistics.

Young Boys earned a well-deserved 4-1 away win in Neuchâtel and therefore put to an end in great style this first part of the season!

In fact, there is not much to say about this last match… starting from kick-off, Gerardo Seoane’s troops – even though without being particularly outstanding – outplayed the hosts. They proved superior in every way and went to the first break 2-goals ahead thanks to Guillaume Hoarau who scored in the 7th minute and Christian Fassnacht who scored in the 28th minute.

After the break we were expecting a veehement reaction of the hosts… in vain. Young Boys continued to outplay Xamax and within the 75th minute of play took a 4-goals lead thanks to Guillaume Hoarau (again!) and Roger Assalé.

We mean, there was really no deal to make for Neuchâtel Xamax. Michel Decastel’s goodwill, however, paid off at 10 minutes to the end, when Kemal Ademi scored the consolation goal and set the 1-4 final score.

All in all, fair enough.

Guillaume Hoarau (BSC Young Boys)

Guillaume Hoarau proved once again that he’s the most merciless striker of the Super League. It’s as simple as that.
