Our match report, the key player, video highlights and match statistics.

Young Boys earned a last gasp comeback 3-2 home win against Thun!

Let’s be clear… frankly speaking, and regardless of everything, Gerardo Seoane’s troops win is fully deserved. Young Boys in fact, performed better and overall had enough scoring opportunities to deserve the three points.

Thun, however, deserve a big round of applause. Marc Schneider’s guys travelled to Bern wihtout awe and came out of the pitch after the game with their heads held high.

Having said that, the two teams went to the first break with Thun 1 goal ahead thanks to Marvin Spielmann’s goal scored in the 39th minute of play… this despite the fact that the hosts had enough chances to score the opener on their own.

After the break then, Young Boys increased their level of play even more and logically scored the equalizer with Miralem Sulejmani after 11 minutes… Thun, however, didn’t collapse and actually proved merciless and restored their lead with Kevin Bigler thanks to a long-range shot at about 20 minutes to the end of the match!

At that point, Gerardo Seoane’s troops pushed forward and outplayed Thun. This led firstly to the equalizer that came thanks to an unlucky owngoal scored by Miguel Rodrigues… and then, led to Guillaume Hoarau’s header that earned them the 3 points in the 92nd minute of play!

Guillaume Hoarau (BSC Young Boys)

It doesn’t really matter the way he performed… the fact is that he heded in the winner. It’s not an accident.
