05.08.18 – FC St. Gallen – FC Thun 3-2

FC Thun

Thun are coming off the 1-2 away defeat suffered in Sion that followed the 4-2 home win earned against Basel before the international break. The latter win, however, was the only one for Marc Schneider’s troops in their last 4 games. During these last four games, moreover, Thun conceded always 2 goals and this highlights that the team is slightly less solid compared to the first part of the season. Right now, however, it’s time to make one last effort before the winter break!

FC St. Gallen

St. Gallen are coming off the 1-2 away defeat suffered in Zürich against Grasshopper that extended to 2-games their losing streak. Peter Zeidler’s troops are capable of playing the most dominant football of the league… they proved that also last week at the Letzigrund despite the defeat suffered. However, they still darn lack consistency, moreover they won only 1 of their last 4 away games… we mean, it’s time to turn the good performances into points!

Trivia…

The last time Thun won at home against St. Gallen dates back to April 4th, 2015! On that day, at the Stockhorn Arena, Thun earned a 4-1 win thanks to the goals scored by Gianluca Frontino, Andreas Wittwer (!), Alexander Gonzalez and Dennis Hediger. For the visitors, Daniel Lässer scored the consolation goal.
