The ZSC Lions are coming off the solid performance that led to a 5-4 away win in Lausanne that extended to 3-games their winning run. Serge Aubin’s troops are not yet at their best… but we must admit that they’re – even though, slowly – growing game by game and this is something that bodes well for the future. Without forgetting that the Lions are, potentially and virtually, at the top of the table if they win the couple of games that they have in hand!
Davos are coming off the 3-6 home defeat suffered against Ambrì-Piotta that followed the 7-2 away win earned in Bienne. These last two games well represent how the Ibexes are capable of everything and its opposite… even though, they are doing much better away from home, as evidenced also by the fact that they won 3 of their last 4 away games! We mean, Zürich are warned…
The last time a Regular Season game between ZSC Lions and Davos played at the Hallenstadion went over the 60th minute of play dates back to October 15th 2013! On that day, the Ibexes earned a 3-2 shootouts away win thanks to the goals scored by Gregory Sciaroni and Marcus Paulsson (Paulsson and Ambühl scored during the shootouts series). For the hosts, the scorers were Mark Bastl and Ronalds Kenins (only Ryan Shannon scored during the shootouts series).
