The beautiful story of Blois continues, and it is a beautiful chapter which was written, Tuesday during the second day of regular season of Betclic Elite. The Blois team, promoted this season and appearing for the first time in its history in the elite of basketball, has simply paid Asvel (86-82), the defending French champion. Blois escapes in the 3rd quarter but Asvel closes the gap
It is however the visitors who created, the first, a gap (13-7, 6th). But Blois was able to erase its delay, led, by a little, during the first half, before going back to the locker room, with two points of advance (47-45). The promoted team went on the attack after the break and was clearly leading (70-58), when the third quarter ended.

But it was then Asvel who came back to 82-80 at 1’24” from the buzzer. Blois, however, held on and secured its victory on two free throws by Thomas Cornely, the best scorer of Blois (16 points). Timothé Vergiat, Djordje Gagic (both 13 pts), Keandre Cook (12), Jaime Smith (10) also contributed to their team’s success. In the ranks of Asvel, David Lighty was the most effective (17 pts) and Joffrey Lauvergne made a double-double (10 points, 10 rebounds).
